This gives the unit the ability to be used for both the fundamental Tristimulus colour value as now used widely in Europe and Africa, Asia and Australasia but also the capability to make a wet paste reading using the Kent Jones type colour scale. This scale is referenced to the tristimulus scale for which an offset calibration allows the customer to match this scale to their local market value.
The unit comes with an internal internationally recognised calibration tile, meaning that a dry tristimulus reading made on this machine in Europe should read the same (within a band of tolerance) as one used in Africa or any other part of the world - given the correct laboratory procedures are followed.
